Château Belle Epoque
History
Château Belle Epoque was built in 1762 by the Lassalle family.
Part designed by Architect Viollet le Duc, and Gustave Eiffel, Chateau Belle Epoque has been visited by various historical figures such as The Emperor Bao-Daï and Napoleon III.
It wasn’t always called “Château Belle Epoque”. It has had many names since being built.

Location & Things to Do
Château Belle Epoque is located in the small town of Linxe, nestled between the forests and ocean, and sits on over 10 acres of land.
Less than 20 minutes away you’ll find the beaches of Saint-Girons, La Lette Blanche, Contis Beach and Cap de l’Homy.
In the town of Linxe there is a food market every Tuesday and Friday morning.
If history is your thing, just 15 minutes away is Les Landes Museum which has free entry.
Around 45 minutes from the chateau you’ll find more museums (Écomusée De Marquèze), the Labenne Zoo and a waterpark for adults and children (Atlantic Park).
On site at Château Belle Epoque you’ll find a swimming pool, kids playground, ping pong table, tennis court, pitanque, bicycles to hire, a lake and gorgeous gardens.
Anyone staying on-site will have access to all of the above. Tennis court, ping pong table & pitanque come with equipment.
Off-site activities nearby include Canoeing/Kayaking down the Palue River, Golf Courses in Moilets, Seignosse or in Hossegor and Lake Leon (Lác de Leon) for stand up paddle boarding, windsurfing and peadlos.
There’s also an adrenaline/adventure park less than 20 minutes away with more activities such as quad biking, paintball,adventure courses hiking and more.
